These two projects for the FCDO in Abuja, Nigeria include a new residence for the High Commissioner and 20 staff flats on a site in a residential area of the city, and conversion of 3 houses into staff flats on another site.
The proposals reflect our approach to designing for the African environment, with plentiful shading, deep facades and lush landscaping. The buildings also refer to a rich tradition of use of colour in Nigerian vernacular buildings.
