The School had a large, tarmac covered playground that was in need of complete refurbishment. Our proposal was for a series of playground ‘events’ wrapping around a central all-weather games pitch.
The School had a large, tarmac covered playground that was in need of complete refurbishment. Our proposal was for a series of playground ‘events’ wrapping around a central all-weather games pitch.
Interspersed with the activity areas were a series of shade canopies, an outdoor teaching/theatre area and drinking fountains. We treated the retaining walls to the games area as gently sloping rubber-covered play surfaces.
The children were also involved in the design process and are very pleased with their new facilities.
